After decommitting from Baylor following Art Briles dismissal earlier in the month, four-star quarterback Kellen Mond is staying in the state of Texas and heading to Texas A&M.

Mond had narrowed his choice to the Aggies or Auburn, and tweeted his final decision out on Monday night.

"It is an honor to announce my commitment to the Texas A&M Aggies," Mond said. "This program in its tradition of excellence and led by Coach Sumlin and Coach Mazzone is the right program to help make my dreams a reality."

The 6-foot-3, 202-pounder is ranked as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class, and is listed as the 49th overall prospect on the ESPN 300.

Mond's decision is massive for Kevin Sumlin and the Texas A&M program, who have suffered major losses at the position in recent years.

2014 and 2015 top recruits Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray both decided to transfer at the end of last season, and Tate Martell, the nation's third-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 class, decommitted last month.
