Former South Carolina starting quarterback Connor Mitch has declared via Twitter that he will be joining James Madison as a graduate transfer.

Mitch opened the season as the GameCocks' starting quarterback in 2015 and started the first two games of the season before missing the rest of his season due to a shoulder injury. He went 13-of-29 for 165 yards and one touchdown pass for a QB rating of 104 during those two games.

The 6-foot-3, 218-pound pivot will be able to suit up immediately for the Dukes and will have two more seasons of eligibility.
