West Virginia players collect donations for flood victims

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

West Virginia players are doing their part in the wake of the tragic flooding that's devastated many southern parts of the state.

Many players devoted time and energy Saturday to assist in collecting and sorting various goods to be delivered to flood victims.

Associate athletic director Alex Hammond revealed via Twitter there were so many donations made in Morgantown, W.Va. that a second 18-wheeler had to be ordered.

At least 23 people have been killed in the worst case of flash flooding in the United States since 2010, according to Joe Sterling, Farida Fawzy, and Jareen Imam from CNN.
