Another day, another former Baylor recruit finding a new home at Texas.

Just a few days after Devin Duvernay, a four-star wide receiver, announced he would be joining the Longhorns, offensive lineman J.P. Urquidez revealed on Twitter that he too will be taking his talents to Texas.

Urquidez, a four-star tackle, according to ESPN, was one of five recruits who were granted releases from their national letters of intent by the Bears on Thursday. The releases allowed for the players to enroll elsewhere immediately without losing a year of eligibility.

All this comes on the heels of a scandal involving the mishandling of numerous sexual assault cases at Baylor that led to the firing of head coach Art Briles, and the resignations of university president Ken Starr and athletic director Ian McCaw. The unstable situation led many recruits who had committed to Baylor to rethink their college futures.
