For a man who's primary concerns are physical gains, Alabama's Scott Cochran is now feeling the results of a serious financial pump.
Steve Berkowitz of USA TODAY reports that Alabama approved a raise of $105,000 for Cochran on Tuesday, ballooning his annual salary to a total of $525,000.
Alabama athletic director Bill Battle shared his view of Cochran anointing him "the loudest and most energetic coach in the country," while adding that Cochran is "the equivalent of a coordinator with what he contributes."
The raise places Cochran among the highest paid strength coaches in the country, surpassing current Iowa strength coach Chris Doyle's salary of $515,000.
