Alabama lands 4-star recruit Shavers for 2017 class

It appears that Nick Saban truly does not need to be at satellite camps to convince elite recruits to move to Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama head coach made his latest addition to the 2017 Crimson Tide recruiting class, when four-star wide receiver Tyrell Shavers committed Friday after visiting the school earlier in the day.

The excitement between Saban and Shavers is mutual, according to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.

"I enjoyed myself," Shavers said. "Alabama is the National Champs. My recruitment is over. I'm playing for the best.

"Coach Saban had a big smile on his face. They are getting a guy with size that can move."

The 6-foot-6, 202-pound wide-out from Lewisville High School in Texas is currently ranked 183rd on the ESPN 300. In his junior year of high school, Shavers had 36 catches for 800 yards and 13 touchdown receptions.
