Saban impersonator spotted at satellite camp

Imitation is known to be the highest form of flattery, and in the case of Nick Saban, he had a lot to be flattered by on Saturday.

Complete with straw hat and Alabama sweater with cut-off sleeves, a Saban-esque figure was seen roaming the Samford Mega Camp on Saturday. It was later revealed to not be Saban, but rather Rob Ezell, one of Saban's assistants and former walk-on wide receiver in the Crimson Tide program.

ESPN's Greg Ostendorf reports that Saban has confirmed he will not be attending any satellite camps this offseason, who will instead focus primarily on in-house matters.

"We sort of made the decision that it's more important (to spend time with our players)," Saban said Thursday at a charity event. "Especially in this time period, because there's only limited time periods in the summer time where we have time to spend with our players."

Ezell has been noted for his Saban impersonation in the past, receiving attention from ESPN as far back as in 2010.
