Alabama adds 4-star LB Markail Benton to 2017 class

Four-star outside linebacker Markail Benton announced Friday his commitment to Alabama.
Benton, 6-foot-3 and 237-pounds, is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 outside linebacker in the 2017 recruiting class and the 44th-best prospect in the pool overall.
The Phenix City, Ala., native chose the Crimson Tide over scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida State, and a number of other powerhouse programs.
