Ohio State to sell beer stadium-wide this season

After testing beer sales in certain sections of Ohio Stadium, Ohio State is set to take the next step this season.

The Buckeyes announced Wednesday they will be selling beer throughout the stadium in 2016. Profits from the sales will go towards a pair of full-time positions with the Ohio State Police Department.

"The safety of our campus community, including fans and visitors, is our number one priority," chief of Ohio State Police Craig Stone said. "Thanks to this partnership with the Department of Athletics, two new, full-time officers will bolster our security presence and enhance campus safety year-round."

More college teams appear to be trending this way. Penn State announced last month it will implement the program Ohio State started using last year.
