Briles was fired due to 'media witch hunt,' says daughter

Hours after Baylor announced the dismissal of Art Briles amid a sexual violence scandal that rocked the school, the fired coach's daughter passionately came to his aid.

In a Facebook post, Staley Lebby blasted Baylor for its treatment of Briles, which she called "the most disgusting thing I've ever seen," and defended her father as "a man of incredible character."

Lebby is married to Baylor running backs coach Jeff Lebby. Her brother - and Briles' son - Kendal Briles is also on the Bears' coaching staff, though his status with the program now seems to be up in the air.
