Ohio State sets record with 10 draft picks in first 3 rounds

Crystal LoGiudice / USA TODAY Sports

What Urban Meyer referred to as an "infomercial" continued for Ohio State on Friday, with the Buckeyes finishing the night as the owners of a new NFL record.

Ten Buckeyes heard their names called in the first three rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft, breaking the single-draft mark of eight, previously set by Tennessee in 2004.

Ohio State already made history after the second round, as its seven draftees equaled the record through that part of the draft.

Ohio State had five players selected Thursday in Round 1, before adding two more names to the list during Round 2, and another three in Round 3.
