5-star recruit Antonio Blakeney decommits from Louisville, still considering Cardinals

Bad news for Cardinals fans. Five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney has decommitted from Louisville after announcing his allegiance to Louisville under two weeks ago.

Blakeney averaged 25 points per game as a junior in the high-school ranks, and was pegged as the 13th best prospect in the class of 2015 by Rivals.com.

Luckily for Louisville, the Cardinals' backcourt won't be entirely barren with four-star guard Donovan Mitchell in tow.

5-star guard Antonio Blakeney commits to Louisville

Sept 4, 11:57 PM

Louisville's Class of 2015 was already shaping up to be one of the best in the nation, but it got even better Thursday night, with five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney announcing his commitment to the Cardinals program.

Blakeney joins shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, small forward Deng Adel and power forward Raymond Spalding as players who have committed to Louisville for the 2015 season.

The Cardinals and head coach Rick Pitino are likely done with this recruiting cycle, CBS Sports' Jeff Borzello writes.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Blakeney is the 13th-ranked prospect in the 2015 class, according to Rivals.com.
