St. Louis posted goose eggs in 18:15 of total ice time in a 4-2, Game 4 loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
With Chris Kreider returning to the team's first line, while the veteran right started the game playing alongside Brad Richards and Carl Hagelin, he still managed to log decent ice time. Although MSL's current six-game point drought is more than enough reason for the demotion, we wouldn't look too far into this. Especially since everyone seems to be waiting for the former line mates (Richards and St. Louis) to regain the success they enjoyed together in Tampa Bay. Down 3-1 in the series with Pittsburgh, Game 5 against the Penguins on Friday could be their last opportunity this season.
