Report: Gus Malzahn named Auburn head coach
The University of Auburn has found a replacement for Gene Chizik. According to multiple sources, Gus Malzahn will be named the 26th head coach in school history.
Malzahn was Auburn's offensive coordinator and QB coach from 2009-2011, before he took the head coaching job at Arkansas State. He led Arkansas State to an 8-3 record in his first stint as a college head coach.
Auburn went 3-9 this past season, including 0-8 in SEC play.
