Report: Nationals agree to deal with 1st-rounder Dunning

The Washington Nationals have reportedly inked first-round pick Dane Dunning.

Selected out of Florida as the 29th overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, the Nationals are signing him for $2 million, according to MLB.com's Jim Callis, which is $34,600 under his draft slot.

Dunning is a right-hander who's fastball sits at 92-95 mph. In 60 1/3 innings of work at Florida this season, he owned a 4.03 ERA while notching 55 strikeouts to his 23 walks.

caaaTnhe Nationals have now signed their two first-round picks in Dunning and high school outfielder Carter Kieboom, who was selected right before him at 28th overall.
