Sean Miller isn't leaving Arizona, and his brother Archie isn't leaving his post either.

Dayton announced Wednesday that it has signed its head coach to a contract extension that will keep him with the Flyers through 2023. Financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed, but Miller did receive a raise.

"Our relationship with Archie continues to recognize the exceptional achievement of our men's basketball program under his leadership and strongly affirms our mutual commitment to long-term success," athletic director Neil Sullivan said. "We share a common vision of graduating student-athletes, consistently competing for conference championships and advancing in the NCAA Tournament. I look forward to pursuing those goals together."

Speculation over the past 48 hours suggested Pitt could target Miller after his older brother rejected the Panthers' interest.

The 37-year-old is considered a rising star in coaching circles, and is coming off his fifth season at Dayton. His 115-55 record already makes him the fifth-winningest coach in Flyers history, with his win percentage ranking second.

"I've said many times, I am thankful and honored to be the head men's basketball coach at the University of Dayton," Miller said. "We can continue to do great things here. The University, the community, and our loyal fans have given our program the opportunity to compete with the best, and I look forward to pursuing consistent success and delivering first-class results both on and off the court for everyone associated with our program."
