Trinity and Ballard renewed one of the hottest rivalries in high school basketball Friday night, and the game lived up to its billing.
The Shamrocks and Bruins needed overtime to decide a winner, after Ballard's Jake Ramsey tied the game on a full-court buzzer-beater. Even more ridiculous is the fact that Ramsey barely had time to look at the net before he heaved the ball. If that isn't crazy enough, it was Trinity's missed free throw at the beginning of the video that kept the game within three points - and made the rest of the miracle possible.
Despite the heroics, Trinity recovered in overtime to take the contest, thereby booking a spot in the regional final.
