Robert Morris dismisses Elijah Minnie

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Robert Morris forward Elijah Minnie is a Colonial no longer.

Head coach Andy Toole told reporters after Thursday's loss to Central Connecticut State that Minnie, who was suspended for the game, will not return to the team at any point.

Minnie had been in the middle of a very strong sophomore season. The 6-foot-8 forward was averaging 12 points and 6.6 rebounds on a .427 field-goal percentage.

As a freshman, Minnie helped the Colonials reach the NCAA tournament and established a school record for blocks in a single season with 36.

Toole added that guard Kavon Stewart, who was also suspended for Thursday's contest, will be back on the floor Saturday against Bryant.

Robert Morris is 6-18 on the season after Thursday's defeat.
