Kent State's Xavier Pollard out for season with fractured foot

Denny Medley / USA TODAY Sports

Kent State guard Xavier Pollard's season has come to an end.

Pollard will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a fractured metatarsal in his foot, according to Allen Moff of the Record-Courier.

He suffered the injury Friday against Ohio, and the timetable for his return is six weeks, meaning he won't be available for the Golden Flashes for the remainder of the season.

The loss of Pollard drastically changes Kent State's game plan, as the senior logs over 25 minutes per game, while averaging 12.2 points and three assists.
