Cincinnati may have dodged a bullet, as X-rays on forward Shaq Thomas' injured right foot revealed a bone bruise and moderate ankle sprain, the school told Tom Groeschen of the Cincinnati Inquirer. He is considered day to day.

Thomas left Thursday night's game against UConn in the second half and did not return. After the game, head coach Mick Cronin said the injury "doesn't look good," indicating that his senior starter could be sidelined for an extended period of time.

For the season, Thomas is averaging 7.5 points and 4.4 rebounds while logging 23 minutes per game.

The Bearcats don't play again until Thursday.
