Oregon's Trevor Manuel to transfer to Loyola Marymount

Oregon freshman forward Trevor Manuel will transfer to Loyola Marymount, he told Matt Wenzel of Michigan Live.

Manuel was a four-star recruit out of high school, but has played a total of just 64 minutes this season. He requested his release from the Ducks on Monday.

"I think it's a good fit because it's a program that's being built back up and I want to be part of the progression and something special," Manuel said of his decision to join Loyola Marymount.

The Lansing, Mich., native will be required to sit out one year before he's eligible to play.
