Report: Louisiana Tech adjusts transfer restrictions for Xavian Stapleton

Derik Hamilton / USA TODAY Sports

Louisiana Tech has made Xavian Stapleton's transfer a bit easier.

Originally banned from playing for 55 schools, the 6-foot-6 guard can now transfer to schools that are not members of Conference USA, on the Bulldogs' 2015-16 schedule, or Florida, according to the News Star's Sean Isabella.

There will ultimately be 27 schools on the final banned list.

CBS first reported the news on Wednesday.

The Gators just hired Louisiana Tech's head coach Mike White in the offseason and he had originally recruited Stapleton to play for the Bulldogs.

Stapleton will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2016 season due to transfer rules.
