Terrence Samuel, a member of Connecticut's 2014 national title-winning basketball team, will transfer to Penn State, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

The 6-foot-4, 202-pound guard will sit out next season, per NCAA rules. He will be eligible to join the team for the 2016-17 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

The Brooklyn, N.Y., native averaged 3.6 points last season with the Huskies, who did not receive an invite to the NCAA tournament after a disappointing 20-15 campaign.

The Nittany Lions went 18-16 last season, but finished a dreadful 4-14 in the Big Ten.
