Jalen Hill, a four-star member of the 2017 recruiting class, has committed to UCLA, according to Evan Daniels of Scout.

The Corona, Calif. native elected to stay close to home following an unofficial visit to campus Sunday.

"I really didn't think that I was going to make the decision today," Hill said. "They spelled out everything I wanted and everything I was looking for in a college. There was no other second place to them. I went with my gut."

Hill had also been considering offers from Arizona and Cal, but his only visit was to UCLA.

"They showed me all the stats, the history and all the stuff they can do and all the stuff they have and how they take care of the players," he said. "Plus it's close to home and my family."

A 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward, Hill was a member of the USA team that won gold at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship.

He is ranked as the No. 25 player in the 2017 recruiting class by Scout.
