Eric Musselman named Nevada head coach

Nevada has hired Eric Musselman as head coach on a five-year contract which will be presented for approval to the Board of Regents on Thursday.   

Musselman, who most recently served as an assistant at LSU, spent two seasons as head coach of the Golden State Warriors from 2002-04, and one season as head coach of the Sacramento Kings in 2006-07.

Hired to his first head coaching job at the age of 23 with the Rapid City Thrillers of the CBA in 1989, he was the youngest coach in CBA history and fastest to 100 wins. 

Musselman would be the 18th head coach in Wolf Pack basketball history.
