Kansas comes back to beat West Virginia; clinches Big 12 regular-season title

Kansas looked dead in the water Tuesday night but clawed its way back to a thrilling 76-69 overtime victory over West Virginia

The win clinches the Big 12 regular-season title for the Jayhawks, giving them their 11th straight title. No. 9 Kansas is now 95-5 in Big 12 home games under Bill Self.

Kansas trailed 40-26 at the half but charged back after the break en route to the victory, its 25th straight at Allen Fieldhouse.

Jayhawks guard Frank Mason III led the team in scoring with 19 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. He was one of four Kansas played to score in double digits.

West Virginia guard Daxter Miles Jr. paced all scorers with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting.

Mountaineers guard Juwan Staten missed his second straight game with a knee injury, while Kansas forward Cliff Alexander missed his second straight game as the team sits him due to a potential NCAA issue.

Kansas forward Perry Ellis suffered a right knee injury in the first half when a teammate fell on the back of his leg and did not return.

Kansas will play its final regular season game on Saturday at Oklahoma.
