Northwestern gave 13th-ranked Maryland all it could handle in a Big Ten showdown in College Park on Sunday night.

The Wildcats led for much of the game, but the Terrapins battled all the way back to set up a thrilling finish.

After Maryland used a 14-2 run to gain a one-point lead with 21 seconds remaining, Northwestern's Tre Demps knocked down a jumper with 13 seconds left in regulation to put the Wildcats in front by one point.

Maryland didn't take long to regain the lead. When Melo Trimble failed to hit on a 3-point attempt, Dez Wells grabbed the offensive board and put it back with an athletic move.
