Pittsburgh's Cameron Wright expected to miss 10 weeks with broken foot

Pittsburgh's senior guard Cameron Wright had surgery surgery on his broken left foot on Friday, and is expected to be sidelined for 10 weeks, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports

Wright, the Panthers’ leading returning scorer who had by far his best collegiate season as junior last year, should be back on the court sometime around Christmas.

The 6-foot-5 Wright averaged 10.5 points, 2.6 assists, and a team-high 1.8 steals (good for third in the ACC) per game last season, for a 26-10 Pittsburgh squad that made the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. He had 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in his team's 77-48 romp over Colorado in the first round.

With the Panthers' two leading scorers from 2013-14, guard Lamar Patterson and forward Talib Zanna, having both graduated, Wright's absence will be that much more pronounced.
