Head coach Jay Wright landed himself a mighty big fish for the 2015 season on Wednesday, securing a commitment from five-star recruit Jalen Brunson.

Brunson, ranked as the No. 22 recruit in the Class of 2015 by ESPN and No. 18 by the 247 Sports composite, will give Villanova its next floor general and leader.

"Coach Wright is a genuine guy," Brunson told ESPN. "What he says is what he is going to do. He will push me and make me work for my time."

A distributor first, the left-handed point guard highlighted his leadership as one of his top attributes and expressed a desire to make his teammates better. That's surely music to the ears of fellow incomer and four-star recruit Donte Divincenzo, who should slot in next to Brunson in a deadly backcourt.

Brunson is the son of former NBA player Rick Brunson, who was close to becoming an assistant coach at his alma mater Temple earlier in the recruiting process before being arrested for an alleged sexual assault in July. Jalen had been expected to land at Temple with his father.
