Maryland may have lost Melo Trimble to the NBA draft, but the Terrapins will have Justin Jackson back in the fold, as the school confirmed the star freshman will return for his sophomore season.

Jackson declared for the draft in April but decided not to hire an agent, allowing him the possibility to return to school by the May 24 deadline.

The 6-foot-7 Canadian standout averaged 10.5 points and six rebounds in his first season with the Terrapins while connecting on an impressive 44 percent of his 3-point attempts.

With Trimble gone, Jackson should be the focal point of Mark Turgeon's offense and one of the most dynamic players in the Big Ten next season.
