Report: USC's Stewart forgets to submit NBA draft paperwork on time

The final list for early entry candidates to the 2017 NBA Draft was announced Tuesday, and despite his intention to declare, USC's Elijah Stewart was not on it.

According to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express, the Trojans standout forgot to submit the paperwork necessary to declare for the draft in time to beat the deadline.

Stewart was planning on declaring without an agent, leaving the possibility of a return to USC on the table, but now the junior has no choice but to remain with the Trojans for his senior season.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 12.3 points per game and connected on 39 percent of his shots from beyond the arc last season for Andy Enfield's outfit.
