Gonzaga's Nigel Williams-Goss declares for NBA draft

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Gonzaga will have to find a new leading scorer next season, as guard Nigel Williams-Goss announced Tuesday he'll enter the 2017 NBA Draft.

Williams-Goss played two seasons at Washington before transferring to Gonzaga, sitting out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Returning to the court as a redshirt junior this past season, he led the Zags in scoring, averaging 16.8 points, and helped them reach their first-ever Final Four, where they ultimately lost to North Carolina in the national title game.

Year School FG% PPG RPG APG
2016-17 Gonzaga 48.6 16.8 6 4.7
2014-15 Washington 44.2 15.6 4.7 5.9
2013-14 Washington 46.4 13.4 4.4 4.4

Williams-Goss is the second player to declare early for the Zags, joining freshman Zach Collins.
