Indiana's Bryant, 2 others declare for 2017 NBA draft without an agent

Thomas Bryant's time at Indiana may be over as a school spokesperson told Jeff Borzello of ESPN that the star sophomore will declare for the NBA draft but will not hire an agent.

In addition to Bryant, Robert Johnson and James Blackmon Jr. will also declare for the draft by not hire agents.

The decision to not hire representation means all three can return to the Hoosiers if they pulls their name out of the draft before the May deadline.

Player Points per game Rebounds per game Assists per game
James Blackmon Jr. 17 4.8 1.9
Robert Johnson 12.8 4.4 2.5
Thomas Bryant 12.6 6.6 1.5

The three players led the Hoosiers in scoring, but were unable to help the program qualify for the NCAA tournament. If they decides to return, they'll be coached by Archie Miller next season, as Indiana hired the former Dayton frontman after firing Crean at the completion of the schedule.

If the trio remains in the draft, they will join fellow Indiana sophomore OG Anunoby who declared with an agent earlier this week. Draft Express has Bryant going 41st overall in their latest mock draft, with neither Johnson nor Blackmon making the list.
