After a star-crossed NBA career that was cut short far too soon, it seems Brandon Roy may have found his calling. The former three-time All-Star was named Naismith National High School Coach of the Year this week, after leading Seattle's Nathan Hale High School to a perfect 29-0 record.

It's a major accomplishment for the 32-year-old Roy, given it was his first year coaching at the school in his hometown.

Roy last played an NBA game for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2012, a year after he was forced to retire prematurely from the Portland Trail Blazers due to a degenerative knee condition.
