Watch: Adebayo's mom remembers Wichita State's pregame trash talk

Marilyn Blount remembers Darral Willis Jr.'s pregame proclamation that Wichita State would "shut down" her son, Bam Adebayo, and had no problem celebrating her son's performance after his victory Sunday.

"He didn't shut him down, did he?" Adebayo's jovial mother exclaimed outside the arena following Kentucky's 65-62 win. "Bam went at him ... oh yes he did, yes!"

Indeed, the freshman Wildcat had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win, and was the difference-maker for Kentucky down the stretch.

Willis, on the other hand, had two points in eight minutes of action for the Shockers.
