Dorsey continues to step up with Boucher down

Jay Biggerstaff / USA TODAY Sports

Someone needed to pick up the slack with Chris Boucher on the shelf, and Tyler Dorsey is doing just that for Oregon.

The sophomore guard continued his torrid play Thursday, pouring in 20 points in the Ducks' 69-68 win over Michigan in the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16.

In four games since Boucher was ruled out for the season, Dorsey has averaged 23.5 points per game, shooting 60 percent from the field and 53 percent from long range. For the season, he averaged 14 points per game on 46 percent from the floor and 40 percent from downtown.

He got the job done against Michigan on 7-of-15 shooting overall and 5-of-7 from deep. He's been the Ducks' leading scorer in three of four games minus Boucher.

The Los Angeles native also scored what turned out to be the game-winning basket for the second straight contest.
