Watch: Baylor's awful last possession hands Kansas victory

Kevin Jairaj / USA TODAY Sports

No. 4 Baylor needed two points to force overtime or three points to win at the end of regulation versus No. 3 Kansas, but a pitiful final possession resulted in neither, and gave the Jayhawks a 67-65 victory in Waco on Saturday.

Kansas trailed late, but closed the game on an 8-0 run to snatch the victory, its 10th straight such result against the Bears.

Frank Mason III and Josh Jackson led Kansas with 23 and 16 points, respectively. They were the only two Jayhawks to reach double digits in scoring.

Johnathan Motley had 19 points for Baylor. Manu Lecomte added 16, but was just 6-of-14 from the field and missed the game's last shot.

The Jayhawks are now one win away from clinching at least a share of the conference title. Kansas is looking for a 13th consecutive Big 12 regular-season crown.
