Michigan State's Miles Bridges: Scores six off bench in return

Bridges (ankle) had six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds, and two blocks in 17 minutes off the bench Wednesday against Rutgers.

Analysis:

Wednesday marked Bridges first game back since missing seven games with an ankle injury. Coach Tom Izzo eased him back into action by bringing Bridges off the bench in his return, and the blowout nature of the game allowed Izzo to keep Bridges from playing heavy minutes. Bridges had started every game prior to suffering his ankle injury, so it stands to reason that he'll rejoin the starting five as soon as Saturday when the Spartans face Penn State.
