Kansas sophomore Carlton Bragg Jr. was arrested Thursday on suspicion of domestic battery against a family member, according to A.J. Perez of USA Today.

The forward was still in custody Friday pending his arraignment on the charge.

Under state law, anyone who is accused of domestic violence in Kansas is held without bond until they appear in court.

"We are aware of the situation and in the process of gathering information and once we have the facts we will act accordingly," associate athletic director Jim Marchiony told Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star.

Bragg has averaged 7.8 points and 16 minutes per game this season for the No. 3 Jayhawks.
