Watch: Pitino wants Trump to apologize for campaign comments

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville head coach Rick Pitino is demanding an apology from President-elect Donald Trump for negative comments made during his campaign.

Pitino met with media Friday and implored Trump to apologize to John McCain, and any other individuals he insulted during his presidential campaign.

The legendary coach is a member of the same New York club as Trump, and while he said he'll support him now that he's president, Pitino clearly still has some concerns over the 70-year-old's behavior.

Pitino wasn't the only prominent NCAA coach to voice his opinions on Trump, as Texas coach Shaka Smart called his election is "a slap in the face" to Brian Davis of the the Austin American-Statesman.
