Texas' Kerwin Roach Jr.: Suspension to be lifted after opener

Roach (suspension) will sit out Friday's opener, but can return for the Longhorns second game on November 14, Mike Finger of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Analysis:

Roach and teammate Tevin Mack were suspended for violating team rules in the offseason. Roach is expected to take on the starting point guard role for Texas once he returns. As a sophomore, Roach averaged 7.5. points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 18 minutes per game.
