Illinois State's Deontae Hawkins: Suspended indefinitely

Hawkins has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, Mark Adams of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Hawkins is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign in which he lead the Redbirds in scoring at 10.3 points per contest. This suspension is surprising, as he was coming into the season trying to recover from a broken right foot.
