Michigan State's Gavin Schilling: Requires surgery for non-contact knee injury

Schilling suffered a non-contant knee injury on Friday in practice and will require surgery.

Analysis:

Schilling currently has no timetable for return, but it's unlikely he'll be ready to go for the season. Schilling's starting minutes at power forward in the meantime will most likely be filled by freshman Miles Bridges and Kenny Goins. Ben Carter (knee) suffered a knee injury in early October and is expected to be out for an extended period of time. There will most likely be more updates on his timetable for return once his recovery after surgery begins.
