Wildcats Humphries, Wynyard are day-to-day with injuries

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Kentucky pivot men Isaac Humphries and Tai Wynyard sat out Tuesday's workout because of injuries.

Humphries, a 7-foot Australian who averaged 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 points in 23 games as a Wildcats freshman, didn't practice because of right knee soreness. Wynyard, a 6-10 New Zealand native who redshirted last season, has been sidelined since fracturing the left side of his face after an inadvertent elbow hit him during Kentucky's nationally televised practice on Oct. 9.

Kentucky will hold its Blue-White scrimmage on Friday night at Rupp Arena and begin exhibition play on Oct. 30 against Clarion (Pennsylvania), the alma mater of coach John Calipari.

The Wildcats open the regular season on Nov. 11 against Stephen F. Austin.
