Minnesota's Lynch expected to miss a month after knee surgery

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota center Reggie Lynch is expected to miss a month after undergoing left knee surgery, the team announced Friday.

The junior sat out last season after transferring from Illinois State, where he averaged 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in the 2014-15 season.

There was some question as to whether Lynch would be able to start the season with the team after he was arrested in May on allegations of sexual assault. Charges weren't filed, however, and he was ultimately cleared to play.
