Florida grad transfer Murphy granted 6th year, joining Northeastern

Alex Murphy will don the third different uniform of his college career thanks to the NCAA granting him a sixth year of eligibility.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward will play for Northeastern, Murphy announced via Twitter. Previously, Murphy spent two years with Florida and two years prior with Duke.
Murphy's best season came in 2014-15, his first with Florida, during which he averaged 5.1 points and two rebounds, while shooting 45.7 percent from the field in 14.2 minutes.
