Illinois lands 4-star point guard Trent Frazier

Illinois head coach Jim Groce has been looking for a quality point guard to run his offense.

On Sunday he got it, adding four-star point guard Trent Frazier to its 2017 class.

Frazier chose the Fighting Illini over Seton Hall, Georgia, Memphis, VCU, SMU, Kansas State, and Rhode Island, and made the announcement via his Twitter account:

The 6-foot-2, Wellington, Fla. native was spotted at Illinois football practice with head coach Lovie Smith:

Frazier is rated No. 31 for his position in the country, and the No. 9 prospect in the state of Florida. He joins a talented 2017 class with Jeremiah Tilmon, Da’Monte Williams, and Jovan Pickett also committing.
