Delaware transfer Maurice Jeffers commits to Boston College

The baskets at Conte Forum can feel a little bit more protected now that Maurice Jeffers is coming to town.
Jeffers has committed to joining Boston College as a graduate transfer after three seasons at Delaware, according to Zack Spears of EagleAction.com. The move provides the Eagles with a much needed force on the blocks who has proven he has no trouble swatting balls away.
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound big man was a defensive presence last season for the Fightin' Blue Hens, averaging 1.1 blocks, 5.2 points, and 4.8 rebounds in 22.8 minutes.
Jeffers is tied for 15th in Delaware history with 63 blocked shots in 76 games played.
