Texas Tech lands Quinnipiac graduate transfer Giovanni McLean

Former Quinnipiac guard Giovanni McLean has decided to take his talents to the Big 12.
The graduate transfer signed with Texas Tech on Monday, making him immediately eligible for next season.
The Red Raiders bring in a 6-foot-1, 195-pound guard who was a key component of the Bobcats' roster last season, averaging 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 30.8 minutes.
McLean's addition provides depth at the guard position for Red Raiders first-year head coach Chris Beard. Texas Tech was eliminated from the 2016 NCAA tournament at the hands of Butler in a 71-61 defeat.
