Some schools do better at recognizing NBA champion alums than others

Eileen Blass / USA TODAY Sports

Twitter was abuzz Sunday night and into Monday morning after the Cleveland Cavaliers won a thrilling Game 7 to capture the NBA championship, and the winning team's players received plenty of congrats from their alma maters.

Nine different colleges were represented on the Cavs' roster, and here's what they had to say - or tweet - beginning with Duke honoring Kyrie Irving:

Duke totally forgot to congratulate Dahntay Jones, by the way.

Nice touch from Arizona.

Well played, UCLA.

The multi-picture tweet from Texas. OK, OK.

Boy, Saint Mary's really went all out for Matthew Dellavedova ...

When you get more rings than minutes.

Alabama realized Mo Williams was still in the NBA too late to get a photo.

Georgia Tech probably just didn't want Iman Shumpert's ridiculous hair on its timeline.

And finally, the legend and three-time NBA champion from Miami known to the masses as James Jones!
